Caution: Thin Ice!

I've poked my pudgy finger into too many pies.

Being CMB Publicity IC, Chingay Chief ME and Touch Vice-Cap is catastrophic on a global scale.

I'm so tired all the time especially from Chingay cos it's top priority right now. I've been neglecting Touch and CMB but THANK GOD Yonglin is more than capable of picking up any slack. As for Touch... Well I'm sorry if I've disappointed anyone as a Vice-Cap and if you think someone else should take the position, I whole-heartedly agree. I honestly don't deserve it, cos I only have time to go for trainings and that's about it. Don't even start the time management spiel; every available minute I have is spent on Chingay at the moment. I've said it once, I'll say it again, don't judge till you've done it yourself.

I can't even take any off days from Chingay cos they need me and I can't shirk my responsibilities as a Publicity IC too much cos it'll be unfair to Yonglin. At least for Touch, I can afford to let it slide just a little bit cos we've got Guoyong and Ya Yan. But it's still draining, having to make sure that I am there for ALL trainings just because I am vice-captain.

I thought I wasn't stressed, just exhausted from doing too many things but I think I am. And oh, guess what? This is the icing on the bloody cake: I found out that I can't even wear normal contact lenses for my left eye any more cos the astigmatism is too bad and the new ones cost triple the price!

Sigh. I'll get through this though, even though it feels like I'm swimming through molasses. Slow but I'll eventually reach the end.

It's that time of the year again, where I do my round-up of the previous year. To some, it may be boring or some do it just for the sake of doing so. For me, it's for closure. I don't think I can lay 2007 to rest unless I summarise the events that have impacted my life.

At a glance, it's been a good year for me with more happy moments than sad ones. What with being a rabid fan of BSB who came to perform, reading the final chapter of Harry's life, winning Rag, enjoying the various blockbusters and doing marginally better for the exams - I'd say it's been one of the best years of my life. Of course, there has been the occasional shock, most notably being nearly not being able to get back to hall and maybe the atrocious results of Year One Sem Two.





So that's the history then. As for what lies ahead: I can definitely say that I'm not looking forward to the hall workload next semester. School-wise, I think I have a pretty good timetable with most of my lessons starting at noon or later. And oh, I nearly forgot, 2008's the year I hit the big 2-1. A full-fledged adult; can't quite believe it. I hope we go to a nice restaurant where we have to dress up, then I can wear my DND dress again! :)
