like molecules in a pressurised can
The cutest little 4-year-old boy just became my new neighbour but the sad thing is I still do not know his name.
Last last week was my worst week ever at work, thanks to a doctor who cannot seem to wait and a naggy, makcik nurse who irritated the hell outta me. But I hope that since it didn't kill me, it made me stronger.
Two of my closest colleagues quit within the week so that translates to I have to buck up and learn faster. One is going to study overseas (the lucky bitch) and another is migrating to Canada (the luckier bitch). One problem: I can't learn faster cos I am just SLOW, but I have no idea why people keep saying I'm a quick study. I feel like my learning pace is moving at glacial speed.
I have to only work 3 days this week cos the rest of it I'm on Annual Leave, hurray! Talking about Annual Leave, I really hope to be able to go on holiday next year and maybe do some volunteer work. I'm considering Habitat for Humanity but I'll have to do more research first.
I feel like I've entered the Philippines whenever I step into the centre and it doesn't help when they all jabber away in Tagalog but at least, now I understand why there are so many of them.
One question always eats away at me these past few days: Can I survive and thrive?
Remember the day when you were so determined to learn to ride a bicycle, you did it in one evening? Where's that girl gone? Unfortunately, I have no answer.
