Happy Days are here again!

Yes people, my (much needed) mid-term break is finally here! Whoopee. I really do need it after my stressful term.

*sigh* the path to attaining my nursing degree is turning out to be much tougher than I expected, and it's only my first year. Curse you, the course planners (shan't say who), for designing such an insane course. It's really testing my limits! Oh well, it was either this or Life Sciences and honestly, nursing has better job stability. The pay may be ridiculously low even with the recent increase but at least I know I'll never be out of a job. Talk about being optimistic...

SO since I want to do relatively well and even though it's the term break, I'm going to spend it studying! Hopefully. I've already started researching for my PBL cos procrastination's a dirty habit and I want to get it out of my system. I probably never will but at least I try. Gender says it takes the same number of years to break a bad habit as it takes for you to form it. In that case, by the time I don't procrastinate anymore I'll be like 40. Boooo.

On a happier note, I'm going CNY visiting with the bandies on Tuesday! Come to mama, yummy goodies :) nah, it's not just the edibles I'm after, I really want to see them as well.

In other news, I'm going to legally earn my first dollar! Going to Suntec City on Saturday for some MOH exhibition to hand out fliers for the nursing course. I get paid 8 bucks an hour! But I'm only working for 4 hours so actually it's not very much. Better than nothing though :)

I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already.

Whodunnit 0607

Whew! The concert's finally over. I'm just so happy all our hard work paid off and it's really one of the greatest feelings in the world when people tell you "I'm so impressed with the publicity." =)

The concert went relatively smoothly with only a few hiccups in the technical aspects.
The danSHers made the perfect entry to the concert, setting the mood for the rest of the items. But only their first item had a scary undertone while the other two were great but more cheerful and fun. I always admire people who can dance cos I can't do it myself.
Choir's first piece was so haunting, I loved it. Their second piece was, like dance, more cheerful cos it was about some Brazilian folk story thing.
Band rocked the stage as usual. I always like the songs they choose cos it's my type of music. Val's voice is so Amy Lee that "Call me when you're sober" suited her perfectly. Good stuff.
I like the beatboxing in SHaca's "Kissed by a rose", it gave the song a whole new dimension. Although according to Yuan Bin, the harmony went a little off when the beatbox came it. I dunno cos I couldn't hear it; ears not sharp enough.
Geyao was good too though I couldn't understand a thing.

Overall it was fantastic and I can't express what I felt when I saw people enjoying themselves. The Queen Mother says that this concert balances the situation in Sheares Hall very nicely, in the midst of the games. I couldn't agree more cos frankly, I was getting a little tired of IHG. Luckily, I'm done with my sports so now I can concentrate on other things, like my modules :(

The One with the Stars

I just LOVE this.
