"Well, this listening ear is worth it..."

One of the nicest things said to me EVER. Thank you :)

There was a man of double deed,
Who sowed his garden full of seed;
And when the seed began to grow,
It was like a garden full of snow;
And when the snow began to fall,
It was like a bird upon a wall;
And when the bird away did fly,
It was like an eagle in the sky;
And when the sky began to roar,
It was like a lion at the door;
And when the door began to crack,
It was like a stick across your back;
And when your back begins to smart,
It's like a knife stabbed in your heart;
And when your heart begins to bleed,
You're dead, you're dead, you're dead indeed!

It was SO good to get away for a while; to make a choice to be unreachable and not care about the world I left behind. Bali was a blast and I hope to go back again someday to climb Gunung Batur and catch the sunrise.

that's the way the noise begun

The other day I was in the library when something on display caught my eye. No, it wasn't Diary of a Wimpy Kid (which I want to read, though it's a children's book) nor the latest installment of the Shopaholic series (if there's ever going to be one). It was a little fish tank set up by the students of VJC and in it were corals, anemones and little clownfish, if I remember rightly.

It's apparently some marine biology elective offered by VJ. There were other programmes too, like Discovering Psychology and fashion,...and I can't recall the rest. Whatever they were, all of them sounded really exciting and how I wish that I had the opportunity to take part in some of them. It's great that kids nowadays have all sorts of interesting electives because at least they'll have a better idea of what they'd like to study in the university cos 19 is kinda young to be choosing your life path, you know? Especially those who haven't wanted to become a doctor or a lawyer or an architect all their lives.

Aside from that little tidbit, here's another. I would love to visit this place in Tocantins, Brazil:

That, my friends, is no ordinary pool. It is what the Brazilians call a fervedouro and it is VERY cool. You basically cannot submerge in a fervedouro no matter how hard you try because an underground spring creates the phenomenon of upwelling. You'll never feel the bottom either and all you get is a feeling of real lightness.

Toldja it was cool.

My little old man and I fell out;
I'll tell you what 'twas all about,
I had money and he had none,
And that's the way the noise begun.
