Christmas this year was the best one I ever had.

It started off with Shaun, Shane and Sherman's annual Christmas party. I reached there about 6pm to find the house beautifully decorated with a flashing tree in one corner. Plus Shaun had set up this disco ball and there was something else giving the living room a strobe-like effect. The food was great, especially the fondue. I tell you, banana and chocolate is the most scrumplicious combination EVER. The chocolate they used was Cadbury's, not really fondue chocolate but it tasted so so good. Another thing that was damn yummy was the log cake. It was chocolate cake filled with chocolate cream, but the cream wasn't the fattening buttery one, it was some other chocolatey cream that reminded me of the one from Lana Cake's. Then it was time for gift exchange! I got a Strawberry Bath & Shower Gel from The Body Shop that smelt so nice I couldn't stop smelling it =) hung around for a while more after that before leaving around 1am.

The next day was the band chalet. Good food, great people and a lot of fun. The food we bought from the BBQ wholesale place on Frankel Avenue was quite tasty as was the chicken. Then we watched The Longest Yard and Resident Evil. Our dearest OFFICER Shaun kept screaming when the monster came out! And grabbed my foot once too! I think it's safe to say that I worry for security of the nation =) at some point or another after the movies everyone managed to fall asleep in that tiny little room. Think I slept around 5am maybe.. Woke up, had breakfast at McDonald's then went home to sleep some more.

Why couldn't my entire holiday be like this? Oh ya, cos of attachment and IHG training :(

Finally!

Finally! My attachment is over. Finally! I don't have any more assessments to worry about. Finally! I've handed in my case study. Finally! I can think about having fun. Finally! I can pay back my sleep debt. And finally, my holidays have started.
Though there are still trainings next week, at least they don't involve standing for 8 hours. Whoopee! :)

At this point in time, I'm in desperate need of sleep but I hope to watch some more "Joey" episodes cos I've been depriving myself of TV the past few weeks. AND I NEED TV THERAPY! I've been so exhausted, due to lack of sleep and stress but TGIF, the day I officially end all schoolwork-related stuff, i.e. attachment.

Actually my attachment wasn't too bad but I did find it tough at first cos I was so lost and my basic nursing care wasn't exactly great. However, the 2-week stint really helped to polish up my skills and life as a nurse became just a wee bit easier. I think I'll talk about the attachment another time.. I intended to do a nursing journal but it never materialised. I was simply too tired.

OH. YUL WON SURVIVOR!! Quite happy about that though I wish Ozzy had won but I acknowledge that Yul played a damn good game so he deserves it. At least Ozzy got the car =)
